How to Play:

  • Use your mouse to poke Airhead around. Hold left click while making contact to poke Airhead a little harder.
  • Use right click to change Airhead's air pressure.
  • Try to get as far as you can!

I highly recommend playing in fullscreen!

Hello, this is my first game jam! Specifically, this game was made as a submission for Gom's FLAPPY JAM.

 Airhead is also my first "Completed" project. I've been working on and off on passion projects with very little progress, I figured participating in game jams would greatly help with the learning process. I can now attest that not following a tutorial step by step and actually trying things is a lot more efficient when learning.

Things I learned:

I've learned a lot of little things throughout making Airhead. Scene management, animating in Unity 2D (Still have no idea), importing custom assets, ways to go about audio in Unity and budgeting time (Terribly).

Theme:

I tried to incorporate the "Trade Offs" theme by having a mechanic where Airhead's air pressure can be switched. On the higher air pressure mode, Airhead is easier to control though he is an easier target. Whereas the lower air pressure mode sacrifices control for the inherent size difference.
